This Week in AI QA: Building a Simpler Weekly Workflow

This week I focused on making my work easier to repeat. Rather than treating AI as a magic shortcut, I used it to reduce friction around note-taking, planning, and turning rough ideas into clearer next steps.

What changed this week

I spent time refining a simple workflow that helps me:

  • capture ideas quickly without losing context
  • turn rough notes into a clearer plan for QA or BA work
  • keep the output useful enough to share with a team

The goal was not to automate everything. It was to remove the small delays that make a good process feel heavy.

Why this matters

One of the biggest wins with AI is not speed alone. It is consistency. When I have a repeatable structure, I can move faster and still keep the quality of the output high.

That matters especially in hybrid work where information gets scattered across chat threads, docs, and meeting notes. A lightweight workflow can help bring that context back into a usable form.

A simple pattern I kept using

I found that the most useful prompts were the ones that asked for three things at once:

  1. a brief summary of the current situation
  2. the most important risks or gaps
  3. a concrete next step for the next day

That structure made the output more practical and less generic.

What I’m taking forward

I’m keeping this approach simple and visible. The next step is to turn it into a more repeatable habit so I can use it across more content, more planning sessions, and more side projects.

If you are experimenting with AI in QA or BA work, I would encourage you to start small and focus on one workflow that already creates friction in your day.
